Jess Lockwood Updates

Jess Lockwood Tulsa 2023 Recap

February 14, 2023

Jess Lockwood did not compete this past weekend in Tulsa.  A precautionary MRI late last week showed a potential muscle tear off his previously surgically repaired pelvis.  Upon further review, excess scar tissue is the source of the pain and the next step is for an injection to the area to break up that scar tissue, by Dr. Tandy Freeman tomorrow.  Jess is expected to be, and planning for a return this upcoming week in Eugene.  Lockwood is currently 30th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 102 points.

Jess Lockwood Indianopolis 2023 Recap

January 30, 2023

Jess Lockwood did not compete this weekend.  He came down with flu like symptoms the day before travelling, including not being able to keep anything down.  To be cautious he stayed home last weekend … but he should be able to travel and compete in Sacramento.  He’s been to the doctor this morning and apparently the worst is over … or through him.  For what it’s worth, know that he did not have COVID. Jess is currently 25th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 102 points.

Jess Lockwood Chicago 2023 Recap

January 16, 2023

After riding a couple of practice bulls last week Jess Lockwood informed the PBR competition committee that he is ready to return and will be in the draw this week in Duluth.  He will keep practicing on bulls this week leading up to the weekend.  This will be Jess’s first PBR UTB event since early February 2022 in Oklahoma City.  He was on a PBR Team’s roster (Oklahoma Freedom) for the inaugural season, but couldn’t get healthy enough to come off the Injured Reserve and compete. Thank you ALL for your patience.
